Mantis Devil

S Tier

The most broken contract in the game. Can hit players that are ragdoll, knocked down, or being combo extended. Game-breaking move with non-existent balancing.

Pros:

  • Can hit ragdoll players
  • Combo extender
  • Combo ender
  • Extremely versatile

Cons:

  • May be nerfed in future updates
  • Game-breaking (exploit-like)
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: God tier - should be on your build 24/7
⚠️ Note: This is the top of S tier. Extremely broken and may be nerfed.

Octopus Devil

S Tier

Insane contract with crazy combo extender, block passive, and nuts on all sides. Better than Ghost Devil in many situations.

Pros:

  • Combo extender
  • Block passive
  • Extremely versatile
  • Strong in all scenarios
  • Z ability can follow up
  • M2 grabs and stuns
  • C skill for devastating combos

Cons:

  • Requires solo fight (very difficult)
  • Must complete quest (kill 10 sea entities)
  • Requires favor for M2 variant
  • Must sacrifice right eye
Acquisition: Find big head statue near Zombie Devil raid → Solo fight → Complete quest (kill 10 sea entities) → Sacrifice right eye
PvP: Excellent
PvE: Excellent

Ghost Devil

S Tier

Insanely good contract late game. Has M1 (slam down grab), M2 (cone projectile that ghost grabs and wraps), and summon. When you die with high favor, spawns a ghost.

Pros:

  • Excellent combo starter
  • Combo extender
  • Combo ender
  • Summon on death (high favor)

Cons:

  • Each move costs about half your soul bar
  • 10% drop chance from Katana Man raid
Acquisition: 10% drop from Katana Man raid
PvP: Excellent
PvE: Excellent

Snake Devil

S Tier

Extremely broken contract but late game. Can eat devils and players. Moves are good extenders and combo enders.

Pros:

  • Can eat devils and players
  • Good combo extender
  • Good combo ender
  • Very strong

Cons:

  • Yakuza locked
  • Requires insanely hard trial
  • Must be good at parrying
  • Late game only
Acquisition: Hard trial (requires excellent parrying skills)
PvP: Excellent
⚠️ Note: You will 110% not get Snake if you're not good at parrying devils.

Future Devil

S Tier

Extremely good contract with only one move - a counter. If you hit it three times in a row, you get eye frames which are extremely strong.

Pros:

  • Counter move
  • Eye frames after 3 hits
  • Extremely strong
  • Simple quest

Cons:

  • Requires Osu Mania knowledge
  • Only one move
Acquisition: Simple quest (requires Osu Mania skills)
PvP: Excellent - if you're not running Future on Public Safety build, you're kind of stupid
⚠️ Note: Can pair with Medium counter Overhead Reprisal for two counters on one build.

Curse Devil

S Tier

Takes no soul to use and you get a nail sword with it. Extremely good for combo extending, combo ending, and very high damage.

Pros:

  • No soul cost
  • Nail sword included
  • Combo extender
  • Combo ender
  • Very high damage

Cons:

  • Public Safety locked
  • Very tedious quest line
  • Cannot die during quest or it resets
Acquisition: Quest line (kill things, kill players, complete world event - cannot die)
PvP: Excellent
⚠️ Note: There will be an addition coming to Curse (not publicly stated yet).

Zombie Devil

A Tier

Yakuza locked and raid locked contract. Summons mobs, but the mobs that players kill give them health packs (may be a bug).

Pros:

  • Summons mobs
  • Gank oriented
  • Very strong for ganking

Cons:

  • Yakuza locked
  • Raid locked
  • 10% drop chance
  • Mobs give health packs to enemies (bug?)
Acquisition: 10% drop from raid
PvP: Good for ganking
⚠️ Note: People can get health packs from your mobs that you spawn.

Sea Cucumber Devil

A Tier

Very strong contract. The M2 autolocks onto your opponent and the only way they can get out is by blocking or perfect dodging.

Pros:

  • M2 autolocks
  • Hard to escape
  • Very strong against new players

Cons:

  • Experienced players can block or perfect dodge
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: Very strong against new players

Cone Devil

A Tier

Fan favorite from anime/manga. Mid to early game contract built around getting your first contract. Very strong if used correctly.

Pros:

  • Fan favorite
  • Good for early game
  • Strong if used correctly

Cons:

  • Mid to early game only
  • Not recommended for endgame builds
Acquisition: First contract quest
PvP: Decent for early game

Leech Devil

B Tier

Not really bad for PvE or PvP, but not really good either. Can get health packs off mobs you knock with your move, allowing you to solo raids.

Pros:

  • Can get health packs from mobs
  • Good for PvE
  • Can solo raids

Cons:

  • Not good for PvP builds
  • Situational
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: Not recommended
PvE: Excellent - can solo raids

Bat Devil

B Tier

Extremely good in PvE, but not really the best in PvP. The move can be full blocked.

Pros:

  • Extremely good in PvE
  • Good for chasing and knocking back

Cons:

  • Can be full blocked
  • Not good in PvP
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: Not recommended
PvE: Excellent

Stone Devil

C Tier

Extremely eh in opinion. Definitely one you'll use early on because of how easy the contract is to get. Not used in endgame/late game.

Pros:

  • Easy to get
  • Good for early game

Cons:

  • Not used in endgame
  • Not really the best
Acquisition: Easy contract quest
PvP: Early game only
PvE: Early game only

Tomato Devil

C Tier

Used to be insanely good in testing. The grab allowed true combos and M2 variant allowed full respawn. Nerfed, but still a strong early game contract.

Pros:

  • Easy to get
  • Good for early game
  • Used to be very strong

Cons:

  • Nerfed
  • Not used in endgame
  • Not really the best
Acquisition: City Outskirts Farm (small chance spawn)
PvP: Early game only
PvE: Early game only

Frog Devil

C Tier

Pretty eh, just like stone and tomato. Basically just pull them in. May get a combo off it, but it's really readable.

Pros:

  • Easy to get

Cons:

  • Really readable
  • Not special
  • May not even combo extend
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: Not recommended

Mold Devil

C Tier

Pretty bad. Has been kind of cast away. People say it's quote unquote pretty just like sneaky god, but it's not really that good.

Pros:

  • Some say it's sneaky

Cons:

  • Pretty bad
  • Cast away
  • Not really good
Acquisition: Contract quest
PvP: Not recommended

Fish Devil

D Tier

Very early game contract that you're probably going to be running. Very extremely free to get and the moves aren't necessarily bad, but you're never going to hit them on a good player.

Pros:

  • Very free to get
  • Not bad for early game

Cons:

  • Won't hit good players
  • Early game only
Acquisition: Very easy contract quest
PvP: Early game only

Fiend Tier List

Don't fancy making a deal with the devil? Try being a Devil Hunter fiend instead. While the fiend pool is significantly smaller than the contract pool, you can still access some pretty cool abilities and upgrade your kit with fiend talents.

S Tier2 items
Blood Fiend (Power)
Angel Fiend
S Tier: Top-tier fiends. Best abilities and upgrade potential. Highly recommended.
A Tier2 items
Cosmo Fiend
Shark Fiend
A Tier: Excellent fiends. Very strong and reliable choices.
B Tier2 items
Flea Fiend
Nail Fiend
B Tier: Good fiends. Solid choices that work well in most situations.

Blood Fiend (Power)

S Tier

Insanely broken fiend. M1s are insanely fast. Moves are multi-hit and most don't cancel on parry either, and they don't have auto parry.

Pros:

  • Insanely fast M1s
  • Multi-hit moves
  • Don't cancel on parry
  • No auto parry
  • New players will die unless they lock in

Cons:

  • May be nerfed
  • Extremely broken
PvP: Top S-Tier - above Curse Devil
⚠️ Note: I don't know why she hasn't been nerfed yet.

Angel Fiend

S Tier

Used to be insanely good in testing, but unfortunately it's been overshadowed by the new two fiends (Shark and Power). Still insanely good, but not necessarily the best it could be.

Pros:

  • Still very strong
  • Good abilities

Cons:

  • Overshadowed by Shark and Power
  • Not the best anymore
PvP: Excellent

Cosmo Fiend

A Tier

New fiend (Jan 26, 2026). Halloween-themed cosmic abilities. Gimmick causes insanity VFX to nearby players. Pumpkin projectiles, circular stun field, beam attacks.

Pros:

  • Halloween aura insanity mechanic
  • Pumpkin projectiles (9, latch onto 10 players)
  • Circular stun field (Z M2)
  • Beam and sky bomb ultimates

Cons:

  • New - meta still evolving
  • Requires skill landing for aura charge
PvP: A-Tier - area control and psychological pressure

Shark Fiend

A Tier

Insanely strong. Dive is just a free combo extender. M1s right now currently are desynced and you can just spam your M1s basically win. Insanely strong swing speed.

Pros:

  • Free combo extender (dive)
  • Desynced M1s (can spam)
  • Insanely strong swing speed
  • All around insanely good

Cons:

  • M1 desync may be fixed
PvP: Very High A-Tier
⚠️ Note: Once you get ranked on your fiend and get it higher level, you'll understand this ranking a lot more.

Flea Fiend

B Tier

New common fiend (Jan 31, 2026). Uses Flea Poison to drain HP and Sanity from opponents. Gimmick provides regeneration while poison is active. Good for sustained pressure.

Pros:

  • Flea Poison drains HP/Sanity
  • Regeneration while poison active
  • Good area control with Swarm
  • Leap Air Variant guard breaks
  • Common rarity (easier to obtain)

Cons:

  • New - meta still evolving
  • Requires landing skills for poison
  • Common rarity means lower base stats
PvP: B-Tier - Good for pressure and sustain

Nail Fiend

B Tier

The only thing good about Nail realistically is the crit, and the crit can't even carry it from that.

Pros:

  • Good crit

Cons:

  • Crit can't carry it
  • Not necessarily bad, not necessarily good
PvP: Average

Hybrid Tier List

If we're being honest, the coolest character to be is a Devil Hunter hybrid like Denji and Reze. The transformation process takes a lot of work, but if you're able to become one of the stronger hybrids from our list, it's more than worth the sacrifice.

S Tier3 items
Bomb
Chainsaw
Flamethrower

Brainsplasher

S Tier

Hands down the best gun. Once you hit somebody with the crit, they basically cannot escape. The crit charges you forward, launches them into the air, and then fires a projectile. Insane for combos.

Pros:

  • Crit is inescapable
  • Charges forward
  • Launches enemy
  • Fires projectile
  • 9 damage (tied highest)
  • Fast M1 speed
  • Can spam M1
  • Melts through enemies

Cons:

  • None significant
Damage: 9 (tied for highest)
M1 Speed: Fast (same as AK-47 and M1911)

AK-47

A Tier

Super reliable. M1 speed is the same as Brain Splasher and M1911, so it can keep up in very fast fights. The downside is the crit - it's automatic, short-range, and honestly pretty weak.

Pros:

  • Super reliable
  • Fast M1 speed
  • Can keep up in fast fights
  • Base damage is good

Cons:

  • Crit is automatic and short-range
  • Crit is pretty weak
  • Can hold F to parry the crit
Damage: Good base damage
M1 Speed: Fast (same as Brain Splasher and M1911)

Model: Uzi

A Tier

Really crazy fast M1 speed, probably the fastest out of the entire lineup. You can unload shots really quick. Feels great in close-range fights.

Pros:

  • Fastest M1 speed
  • Unload shots really quick
  • Great in close-range
  • Can shoot while getting hit
  • Super spammy
  • Fun to use

Cons:

  • Pretty easy to parry
  • Doesn't hit hard enough
  • Super annoying (people rage quit)
M1 Speed: Fastest M1 speed

Cross Punisher

B Tier

Fourth mainly because the M1 speed is very slow. That makes it feel clunky in fast fights. But the crit makes up for it - it's a long-range beam.

Pros:

  • Long-range beam crit
  • Great for hitting enemies from distance
  • Good for precision or boss fights
  • Works well as cheese weapon

Cons:

  • M1 speed is very slow
  • Feels clunky in fast fights
  • Can't keep up
  • Situational
M1 Speed: Very slow M1

Greenshot

C Tier

Green pistol made from Sea Cucumber flesh. Kind of weird but fun. M1 Speed is very fast, same as Brain Splasher, AK, and M1911. The crit is a green AOE projectile.

Pros:

  • Fast M1 speed
  • Green AOE projectile crit
  • Decent for hitting multiple enemies in gank
  • Fun to use

Cons:

  • Doesn't feel as strong as top three
  • More for fun than competitive
M1 Speed: Fast (same as Brain Splasher, AK, M1911)

M1911

D Tier

The starter pistol. Still good, but the crit is just three semi-auto shots. Fine for chasing boss like Katana Man, but doesn't have the same speed or insane crit effects of the other guns.

Pros:

  • Simple and reliable
  • Fine for chasing bosses

Cons:

  • Starter pistol
  • Crit is just three semi-auto shots
  • Doesn't have same speed
  • No insane crit effects
  • Feels like beginner option
M1 Speed: Fast (same as Brain Splasher and AK-47)

How to Perform a Fiend Reroll

It's pretty easy to use fiend rerolls in Devil Hunter. All you have to do is:

  1. 1.Open your inventory
  2. 2.Assign your fiend rerolls to the hotbar
  3. 3.Use the fiend reroll in the hotbar to reroll your fiend
⚠️

Important Notes

Who can use Fiend Rerolls:
Fiends only: Only players playing as Fiends can use fiend rerolls to change their Fiend type
Humans: You can perform a fiend reroll while playing as a human, but this does nothing and wastes your rerolls
Hybrids: Hybrids can no longer use fiend rerolls (important mechanic change in January 2026)

Be careful! Only use fiend rerolls when you're actually playing as a fiend.

Tips for Using Tier Lists

💡

Consider Your Playstyle

Tier lists rank general effectiveness, but your personal playstyle matters. Experiment with different options to find what works best for you.
💡

Meta Changes

The meta changes with updates and patches. Check back regularly for updated tier lists as the game evolves.
⚠️

Contract Debuffs

Higher-tier contracts often have significant debuffs. You can use multiple contracts at the same time, but be careful that the debuffs don't become too much to handle.
ℹ️

Combination Matters

Some lower-tier options work exceptionally well in combination with others. Don't dismiss options just because they're in a lower tier.
ℹ️

Tier Lists Are Subjective

Tier lists are guides, not absolute rules. Your playstyle, skill level, and preferences matter. A lower-tier option that fits your playstyle may perform better for you than a higher-tier option that doesn't suit you.
