Martial Arts is by far the best skill tree for PvP.

  • • Does the most M1 damage
  • • Has crazy infinite combos
  • • Best weapon: Fleshbreaker
  • • Excellent for aggressive playstyles

🥈 Light Weapon (Second Best)

Light Weapon is the second best skill tree for PvP.

  • • Fast attack speed

PvP Stat Builds

Here are the optimal stat distributions for different character types in PvP. 20 Speed is essential for all builds.

Devil Hunter (with Contract)

Recommended Stats:

Sanity:15
Technique:0
Resistance:0
Speed:20
Health/Strength:See below

Health and Strength options:

  • • Option 1: 60 Health, 75 Strength
  • • Option 2: 75 Health, 60 Strength

Hybrid (Katana Man)

Recommended Stats:

Sanity:0
Technique:0
Resistance:0
Speed:20
Health/Strength:Balance both

Notes:

  • • Hybrid is basically M1 type build
  • • Don't need Sanity unless you want to increase your red bar
  • • Focus on Health and Strength after 20 Speed

Fiend (Angel)

Recommended Stats:

Resistance:~5
Speed:~5 (doesn't really matter)
Strength:~50 (should be good)
Health:Rest into HP

Notes:

  • • Angel does a lot of M1 already, so you don't need that much Strength
  • • 50 Strength should be good, then put the rest into HP
  • • You can also put more into Resistance if you prefer
⚠️

Speed is Essential

20 Speed is essential for all PvP builds. Don't skip it! Speed affects your movement, attack speed, and ability to dodge attacks.

Core PvP Techniques

These are the essential techniques you need to master for PvP combat. Practice these until they become muscle memory.

1. M1 Basic Attacks

The foundation of all combat. Master your M1 (left-click) attacks and learn their timing and range.

  • • M1, M1, M1, M1 - basic combo
  • • Watch for knockback - you'll see a red screen indicating when to press T
  • • Learn your weapon's M1 attack speed and range

2. Parry (Updated)

Parrying is more powerful than ever. Parry stun duration has been increased, making successful parries even more effective.

Recent Parry Changes:

  • Increased parry stun duration - parries are more effective
  • Angel Katana crit: Now cancels on parry (Jan 19, 2026)
  • Mantis Contract: Now parriable (Jan 19, 2026)
  • Razorfang crit cancelled when parried - can be countered
  • Triple Stab cancelled on parry - can be countered
  • AK-47 cancelled on parry - can be countered
  • Uzi cancelled on parry - can be countered
  • Cross Punisher cancelled on parry - can be countered

⚠️ Strategy: Many powerful attacks can now be cancelled by parries. Use parries defensively against these attacks, and be aware that your own attacks can be countered if predictable.

3. Feint

Feinting is crucial for baiting parries. Many players spam F (parry) and time it when you attack. Use feints to bait their parry, then punish.

How to Feint:

  1. 1. M1 once - do a basic attack
  2. 2. Right-click (Parry) - this cancels your attack
  3. 3. M1 again - attack immediately after the feint

Example: If you do M1, M1 (one, two), the opponent will parry the second hit. Instead, do M1 → Right-click → M1 to feint and catch them off guard.

4. Uptilt - THE MOST IMPORTANT TECHNIQUE

Uptilting is the biggest thing in this game for PvP. You need to know how to uptilt to be successful.

When to Uptilt:

  • When someone is running towards you - uptilt them as they approach
  • When someone is attacking you - uptilt to interrupt their combo
  • Just out of nowhere - when someone is close to you, M1 and then press T

How to execute: M1 (when close to opponent) → Press T immediately (very fast!)

⚠️

Timing is Critical

You want to press T really, really fast after M1. The timing window is tight, so practice this extensively.

5. Knockback + T Follow-up

When you knock someone back (see red screen), you can press T to follow them up and continue your combo.

How it works:

  1. 1. Knock opponent back (M1 combo or ability)
  2. 2. See red screen - indicates you can press T
  3. 3. Press T immediately - follow them up
  4. 4. Continue your combo or use grab move

Important: Press T really, really fast because you're able to actually parry that follow-up if done quickly.

6. Grab Moves / Critical Timing

After knocking someone down with uptilt or knockback, use grab moves or critical attacks when they try to get up.

Timing:

  • Don't use immediately - opponent has hyper armor on the ground
  • Wait a second - wait until they try to get up
  • Use grab move or critical - catch them as they're getting up

The opponent has hyper armor while on the ground, but once they try to get up, that's when you want to use your grab move or critical attack.

7. Skill Teleport

When you have the T indicator (after knockback/uptilt), you can use abilities to teleport to your opponent.

How it works:

  • Uptilt → T → Use Move (Z/X/C) - teleport and use ability
  • Knockback → T → Use Move - follow up with ability teleport
  • • Allows you to close distance and deal damage simultaneously

This is a powerful technique for closing distance and maintaining pressure on your opponent.

Combo Strategies

Parry Counter Strategy

Watch for predictable attacks → Parry → Punish - Counter common attacks

⚠️ Update: Many attacks can now be cancelled by parries (Razorfang crit, Triple Stab, AK-47, Uzi, Cross Punisher)

Use parries defensively against these predictable attacks. Increased parry stun duration makes successful parries more rewarding.

Feint Combo

M1 → Right-click → M1 - Bait parry, then punish

Use this when opponents are parry-happy. Feint to bait their parry, then attack when their parry is on cooldown.

Uptilt Combo

Uptilt (M1 + T) → T → Move (Z/X/C) - Standard uptilt follow-up

The most important combo in PvP. Master this for consistent wins.

Knockback Follow-up

M1 Combo → Knockback → T → Grab Move/Critical - Full combo execution

Full combo from knockback to finish. Wait for opponent to get up before using grab move.

💡

Practice Makes Perfect

Practice these combos in safe areas before using them in PvP. Muscle memory is essential for executing combos consistently under pressure.

Practice Tips

💡

Master the Basics First

Start with M1 basics and knockback follow-ups. Once comfortable, move on to feints and uptilts.
💡

Uptilt Practice

Practice uptilting extensively. It's the most important technique - master it first before learning other advanced techniques.
⚠️

Timing is Everything

All these techniques require precise timing. Practice until they become muscle memory. The T key press needs to be really, really fast.
ℹ️

Read Your Opponent

Watch for opponent's parry patterns and attack timing. Use feints to bait predictable parries.
