  • • Parry his attacks when possible - this is crucial for survival
  • • Block when necessary to avoid taking massive damage
  • • Watch for his "die" spam attack - requires perfect dash timing

Use Guns

Guns deal high damage to Octopus Devil. Bring guns to make the fight significantly easier.

Tip: High damage weapons are essential. Octopus Devil has very high health and damage output.

Note: If you don't receive the quest after defeating Octopus Devil, wait for the cooldown and try again. Be patient - this is an extremely difficult fight.

Even if you bring friends, they cannot help you. The fight is designed to be solo only.

What Counts as Sea Entities

Best Farming Locations

Skateboard Shop Area

The best location is near the skateboard shop. Use bounty boards here to spawn Sharks.

How it works: Complete bounty board contracts, and there's a chance for Sharks to spawn.

Tip: Server hop if there are no more spawns available. This is the fastest method.

Alternative Locations

There are multiple locations where sea entities can spawn. Check around the skateboard shop area and nearby contract spawn points.

⚠️

Quest Bug

There is a known bug where the quest may disappear. If this happens, talk to Octopus Devil again to restart the quest. You may need to kill the entities again if the quest resets.

Octopus Devil Abilities

Once you obtain the Octopus Devil Contract, you gain access to powerful abilities:

Z Ability

Can follow up after using it. Great for combo extension.

Use this to extend your combos and chain attacks together.

M2 Variant

Grabs enemies and stuns them. Requires favor to use.

Can combo with C skill. Use C skill first, then M2 for devastating combos.

C Skill

Powerful ultimate ability. Can be used after M2 for devastating combos.

Combo: C skill → M2 → repeat for maximum effectiveness.

💡

Combo Tip

The Octopus Devil Contract is extremely powerful for combo extension. Use Z ability to extend combos, and combine C skill with M2 for devastating damage. This contract is considered better than Ghost Devil in many situations.

Contract Debuff Selection

⚠️

Critical Warning

Don't panic accept the contract! Check the debuff first. Some debuffs are much worse than others. You can decline and try again if you get a bad debuff.

✓ Good Debuffs (Accept These)

  • Minor health sacrifice: Small health cost, manageable
  • One eye blindness: Only one eye lost (acceptable)
  • Health vanity: Minor stat reduction
  • Posture blindness: Manageable debuff

✗ Bad Debuffs (Avoid These)

  • Both eyes: Complete blindness - severely impacts gameplay
  • Major health sacrifice: Significant health reduction

Pro Tip: Only accept contracts with "one eye blindness" - losing one eye is manageable, but losing both eyes severely impacts gameplay and makes combat much harder. If you get "both eyes" debuff, decline and try again (you may need to complete the quest again).
